Originally from New York, Ginsberg has lived in San Miguel
since July 1988 where, she says, her visual vocabulary has flowered and matured
even further in the freedom she finds here. This freedom has also allowed her
to experiment with poetry in English and Spanish, to start to write a
book, direct play readings and to create stage sets for local theater groups.
All of which, she says, have expanded the horizons of her work and her
life.
At this time, she says, I work directly in wax rather
than casting from another material because it presents me with major challenges,
technically and aesthetically. It does mean spending more time on each unique piece
but it allows more time for ideas to mature.
