 Syd Ginsberg

Syd Ginsberg was born in New York City.

Graduated:

The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art:
Studied sculpture with Milton Hebald, John Hovannes, George Kratina, Robert Russin.
Studied painting with Byron Thomas, Joseph Raffo, Nick Marsicano, Morris Kantor.
Studied printmaking with Bob Blackburn.

Studied privately with English sculptor Oliver O'Connor Barrett.

While at Cooper Union and for some time afterward she was a partner in Objects Unlimited, where she and her three friends made wood and stone carving tools of very high quality.
