This is a beginner figure-focused sculpting class. The class will create two instructor-led sculptures and one student-created sculpture based on the progress of the class as a whole. Sculpting concepts and techniques will be covered while working in three dimensions. It will look at the figure historically through the modern era. Everyone will create the same sculpture through verbal instructions and demonstrations.
Students must provide an apron or work clothes. Ceramic can be messy, closed shoes and water bottles with lids should be used. All other supplies and materials will be provided.
