Alfa Art Gallery presents “Interchangeable Lens: Frame of Mind”

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) – On Tuesday, January 18, the walls of Alfa Art Gallery in New Brunswick will be presenting the group photography exhibit “Interchangeable Lens: Frame of Mind” free of charge. This exhibition features artwork by artists living and working in the Tri-State area of ​​New Jersey, including Bob Leonard, Danielle Austen, Lauren Curtis, Lee Day, Linda Sandow, Parvathi Kumar, Samuel Vovsi, Josephine (Ivy) McCoy, Alyssa Rose, Ron Wyatt, Alan Chimacoff. It will be on display from January 18 to March 12, 2022.

“Interchangeable Lens: Frame of Mind” is a fantastic exhibition of photographs that explores the world around us in a diverse and unified way. The three-month collection gives shape to fine art photographers who have unique perspectives and approaches to the medium of photography. Alfa Art Gallery encourages visitors to investigate the powerful visual stories offered at our establishment. “Interchangeable Lens: Frame of Mind” will feature talented artists like Lee Day, who takes viewers into the intricacies of technological advancements, and Linda Sandow’s exploration of portals of the world. Each artist in this exhibition shows techniques of abstract expressionism and traditional processes such as cyanotype.

“Interchangeable Lens: Frame of Mind” will be documented as one of the many successes of the Alfa New Brunswick Art Salon (NBAS) program since 2010. The exhibition can be viewed Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at Alfa Art Galerie, located at 108 Church Street in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Alfa Art Gallery uses New Brunswick Art Salons (NBAS) to unify the local art community and beyond. Since the start of the program in 2010, Alfa Gallery has made a point of including a show dedicated specifically to photography. Over the years, the NBAS has not only exhibited works by established and emerging artists, but has also forged fruitful links locally and internationally through its successful programs. Within this non-profit organization, Alfa Art Gallery maintains its mission of uplifting artists by providing an open and innovative environment. These exhibitions are free and open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Opening reception of the gallery: Considering our new standards as a country, the opening reception in person is a VIP and invitation-only event, effectively limiting the capacity of the gallery. However, Alfa Art Gallery will be hosting a virtual opening reception which is an open event. Alfa staff and trainees strive to ensure the safety and health of all visitors and have safety measures in place as well as CDC guidelines. These include wearing face masks indoors, maintaining limited capacity, and providing a clean and safe environment.
