A carved wooden tree sculpture has gone viral this week after people pointed out its similarities to male genitals.
The erection…ahem…was installed in Beaumont Park, where even the kids noticed its phallic shape.
The incredible woodcarving in Huddersfield captures the local flora and fauna, with rabbits, birds and a hedgehog carved into the wood, the hoot reports.
And while no one can deny the beauty of the carvings themselves, it’s the overall shape of the carving that has tongues ringing.
Some people said the sculpture looked like a “giant willy” and wondered if the shape – a large cylinder topped with a dome – was really the best option.
On the Friends of Beaumont Park Facebook page, someone asked, “Sounds like a tbh! They could be flattened on top or put a figure on them. Even my 11 year old said it looked like that, it’s bad if kids think that.
Another person commented on the new addition to Beaumont Park: “Nice carvings on it, but it really looks like people are going to start rubbing it to help with fertility.”
One user said, “To be honest, the shape wasn’t the best thought out, was it. There are some nice carvings on it, but the first thing I see is a giant penis from a distance and it makes me laugh.

But most people are raving about the sculpture, which turned a fallen tree into a free piece of art for all to enjoy.
Someone tweeted that it was a “fantastic use of a dead tree”.
Another said: “It’s a beautiful piece of art.”
And one person wrote, “The artwork is beautiful and loved by all who view it.
