Dragon Ball Super shares new shintani-style artwork


Following the events of the Tournament of Power in the Dragon Ball Super animated series, the Dragon Ball Super: Broly The film featured an all-new art style from the film’s animation director and character designer, Naohiro Shintani. Fans have praised Shintani’s brilliant aesthetic, and it looks like the artist’s style is finding its way to other parts of Akira Toriyama’s popular shonen franchise, giving us a fresh look at some familiar Saiyan characters.

the Dragon Ball Super Heroes the images revealed the new character designs in the art style of Naohiro Shintani, and it gives us a new look at King Vegeta, Bardock, and Paragus, who all featured in Dragon Ball Super: Broly.

Twitter outlet DBS Hype has shared this new image of Bardock, King Vegeta and Paragas. These last two characters do not appear in the Dragon Ball Super franchise for a while, but Bardock was recently introduced to the Arc Granolah the Survivor from Dragon Ball Super manga series. The spin-off series Dragon Ball Super Heroes has yet to confirm if these three characters will return to the franchise.

These three Saiyans have already appeared in Dragon Ball Heroes, but it’s still unclear if they’ll return in the spin-off series in 2022. The series is currently focusing on a new villain who looks like a doppelganger of the Supreme Kai of Time. We also don’t know if they will appear in a flashback in Dragon Ball Super soon.
