Julie Longacre art gallery on display at Chestnut Knoll – The Mercury

Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care invites the public to 120 W. Fifth St., Boyertown, for an art gallery featuring local artist Julie Longacre. The art gallery opens at noon on Saturday January 8 and continues through Monday January 31, with visiting hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Julie Longacre is a multi-talented writer, artist and published photographer. Affectionately nicknamed “an artist of the people”, Longacre comfortably masters all media – watercolor, oil or acrylic. The majority of his work is realistic and subjective in nature, but his paintings encompass a variety of subjects, moods and color forms. Stop at Chestnut Knoll and admire the works of this award-winning artist or attend these special events:

Meet the artist: Saturday, January 8, noon to 3 p.m. Meet the artist and sample drinks and appetizers, courtesy of Chestnut Knoll.

Color with a purpose: Tuesday, January 18, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Adult coloring session led by Julie Longacre at Chestnut Knoll. A donation of $ 10 will be made to the Alzheimer Association. Space is limited; RSVPs are required by calling 610-473-8066. Masks are mandatory on site.
