The Little Falls Public Library is pleased to announce a new “Paintings Holiday Cards and More” art exhibit by local artist Allen Kazmerski, now until January 30, 2022, in the Library Community Hall Gallery at 10 Waverly Place, Little Falls. During regular library hours, patrons and community members will be invited to browse the festive scenes and other additional non-seasonal paintings featured in Mr. Kazmerski’s latest collection of paintings. The community hall art gallery space is wheelchair accessible and there is no admission fee for this exhibition. Many paintings will also be available for purchase by the general public.

Mr. Kazmerski turned to the visual arts after his retirement seven years ago. He found that his appreciation of architecture and natural beauty throughout his life served to train the artist’s eye and encourage others to view these experiences in this way, as the first step in the practice. paint. Allen always considers himself new to the craft, always experimenting with different subjects for his art. Landscapes and still lifes, boats and trains, pianos and his grandchildren, he opens up to sources of inspiration from around the world for his creation. He finds his time at the easel to be a state of quasi-meditation, of being lost in the landscape, lost in the process, relaxed in the flow of creation. For Allen, a painting is not only about beauty or craftsmanship, but also a form of self-care. He believes that the art of painting could help many others stop even a few minutes at a time to balance and breathe.

Regarding the coin values of this last show in particular, Mr. Kazmerski credits his friend Mena Cerone with the inspiration for this theme. He was impressed with a holiday greeting card she painted and was inspired to paint holiday themes that were made into holiday greeting cards for family and friends. These pieces ultimately culminated in this new art exhibition mainly on the theme of the holidays.
