Pemaquid Art Gallery artists exhibit at Damariscotta River Grill

Give Art this Holiday Season! Twenty talented artists from the Pemaquid Art Gallery share their varied styles, mediums and perspectives on the beauty of Maine’s landscape and wildlife at the Damariscotta River Grill. This full show opens on December 13 and will be on display until March 14. The “Art at the Grill” opening night will take place on Thursday, December 16. A portion of the proceeds from the dinner will be used to fund a scholarship for a Lincoln Academy student. pursue artistic training.

This talented group of artists from Midcoast Maine includes Barbara Applegate, Deb Arter, Stephen Busch, John Butke, Dianne Dolan, Gwendolyn Evans, Peggy Farrell, Sarah Fisher, Kay Hannah, Will Kefauver, Jan Kilburn, Sally Loughridge, Judy Nixon, Barbara Vanderbilt, Robert Vaughan, Candace Vleck, Paul Sherman, Liliana Thelander, Kimberly Traina and Sherrie York. The Pemaquid Artist Group includes more than 30 sworn artists from Maine whose mediums include painting, pastels, ceramics, printmaking, woodworking, and drawing. This year, PGA is celebrating 93 consecutive years of exhibiting and its 61st year in the gallery at Lighthouse Park on Pemaquid Point. The Pemaquid Art Gallery is open from Memorial Day to Columbus Day.

The award-winning PGA artists are all current residents of Lincoln County, whose work is also represented in collections across the country. The group includes artists of regional and national renown. Each year, the group opens up to the jury of new candidates who represent the best of the Midcoast art scene.

PGA’s mission is to provide a venue for skilled artists to the region, to enrich the cultural environment for residents and visitors to the region, and to foster and support arts education through financial donations.
