Works of art by adult and high school students presented at the Arts Center | Clubs And Organizations


La Petite Galerie presents works by MIA students.

Marco Island Center for the Arts invites the public to view the vibrant and varied works of art created by Art Center students during the “Adult Student Show” in From April 11 to May 3, 2022, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The “Adult Student Show” was judged by Aimee Schlehr, former executive director of Naples Art. Here are the winners:

First Place, Grandma’s House by Rebecca Kendall (Instructor Phyllis Pransky)

Second place, Orchids by Debbie Hopkins (instructor Diane Reed Eiler)

Third Place, Sunflower Farm by Chuck Wise (Diane Reed Eiler Instructor)

Honorable Mention, Snowy Egret by Barrie Anderson (Diane Reed Eiler Instructor)

Honorable Mention, Purple Iris by Vera Ripley (Instructor Phyllis Pransky)

Judge Aimee Schlehr, former executive director of Naples Art and Hyla Crane, executive director of the Marco Center for the Arts, in front of the art of the Adult Student Show.

This multimedia exhibition showcases the skills students have learned from the Art Center’s growing team of artist teachers and offers them the opportunity to showcase their work in a public gallery, an important step in any artist’s career.

In the The Little GalleryMarco Island Academy art, students of Mr. Totten and Mr. Eder are featured.
